Blue Link allows drivers to sync their mobile devices to the car for hands free operation, in addition to bmw M5 specification other functionalities as well. Once Blue Link is activated via voice command, Blue Link uses data hardware, the Web and, when necessary, human operators to process the driver's request. Drivers can initiate the process by pressing a button on the rearview mirror or on the steering wheel. Cars with navigation systems can activate Blue Link through the LCD touchscreen display.
